The EMS SmartDoor (black), part number SC-44-0300-0001-99, is an intelligent wireless door retainer for the SmartCell wireless fire system. It fixes to a fire door and holds it open using a plunger and floor plate, improving access throughout the building, then releases the door to close automatically when the fire system signals an alarm.
Being fully wireless and battery powered, it needs no mains or signal cabling. It is health-monitored by the SmartCell control panel and can be programmed through the panel's cause and effects as part of the building's evacuation plan. Any door closer used with SmartDoor must conform to EN 1154.
