Choosing System Sensor devices
- Check panel compatibility. System Sensor makes devices for Honeywell fire systems, and addressable parts are often made for a specific protocol. Match the full part number, including its suffix, to your panel. The M200G-RF-26 gateway, for example, is listed as compatible with DXc panels only.
- Sounder base or wall sounder? A base sounder puts the alarm and detector at one ceiling point. Wall sounders and VADs are for walls or where a visual alarm is needed.
- Wireless. Agile detectors are battery powered and talk to a gateway on the loop.
- Installation and maintenance should be carried out by a competent person in line with BS 5839-1.
