Access Control Keypads

Access control keypads and code locks for doors and gates, including standalone single-door keypads, proximity keypads, waterproof and vandal-resistant models and Wiegand-output keypad readers. Brands include CDVI, RGL, Videx, Securefast, Alpro and Dahua.

Choosing an access control keypad

• Standalone or networked: a standalone keypad has its own relay and user codes and needs no controller; a Wiegand or networked keypad sends data to a door controller.
• Keypad only or combined: combined keypad and proximity units let users present a card, enter a code, or both.
• Environment: check the IP and IK ratings for exposed outdoor positions.
• Users: check the number of user codes and relay outputs on the data sheet.

Keypad FAQs

Do I need a controller?

Not for a standalone keypad. It switches the lock supply directly, so you add a lock, power supply and an exit button; see exit buttons.

Which locks suit a keypad?

Standalone keypads work with maglocks and electric strikes.

Where are the proximity-only readers?

See card readers or browse all access control.
