Mains Powered Smoke Alarms

Mains powered smoke alarms (also called hard-wired or mains smoke alarms) are connected to the property's mains electricity supply and have a back-up battery that keeps them working during a power cut. This range brings together mains optical and multi-sensor smoke alarms from Aico, Kidde, FireAngel, FireHawk, Hispec, Lumi-Plugin and Wisualarm, with 9V, alkaline, lithium or rechargeable back-up batteries depending on the model. Most can be interlinked by cable or radio so that every alarm sounds together, but the method differs between brands, so check each product page and keep to one manufacturer's system. For kitchens, choose a heat alarm from our smoke and heat alarms range; for alarms with no wiring, see 10 year battery smoke alarms.
