Prysmian

Prysmian is a major cable manufacturer, and its FP range is widely specified for fire detection and alarm circuits in UK buildings. JEM Systems lists a selection of Prysmian fire cable and fixings, and this collection updates automatically with every Prysmian product on the site.

The core of the range is FP200 Gold, a fire resistant cable supplied in 100m lengths. Options include 2 core and 4 core versions in 1.5mm and 2.5mm sizes, in red or white sheaths, along with 3 core 1.5mm and 2 core 4mm variants. FP Plus is an enhanced fire cable, listed here in 2 core and 4 core 1.5mm versions, again in red or white.

To fix the cable in place, JEM also lists Prysmian AP7 and AP9 fire rated cable clips in red and white, sold in packs of 100. The clip size is matched to the cable diameter, so check the stated millimetre range against the cable you are installing.

Choose the core count, conductor size and sheath colour to suit the circuit design and the colour convention used on site. For other cable types, see FP200 fire alarm cable, alarm cable and cable and networking.
