Choosing CQR Parts
An intruder alarm system is graded by its lowest-graded part, so choose contacts, PAs and sounders at the grade the system needs. Where the panel uses end-of-line resistors, choose contacts with the resistor values shown in the title. CQR Security FAQs
Which grade of door contact do I need?
Use the grade of the system you are installing. A grade 3 system needs grade 3 contacts, while grade 2 is the usual choice for domestic systems.
How is a 4 core CQR door contact wired?
Usually two cores form the alarm circuit and two the tamper circuit. Resistor versions have the resistors built in, so always follow the panel's wiring instructions.
Are CQR panic buttons key resettable?
Many are. The double push and electronic PA buttons listed as key resettable need the reset key after activation.
