Apollo Smoke Detectors

Apollo smoke detectors for addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, gathered in one place. The range covers the XP95 and Discovery addressable families, Soteria and Orbis detectors, and the conventional Series 65 optical detectors that remain widely installed in UK buildings, along with AlarmSense two-wire models and the XPander range.

Choosing an Apollo smoke detector

• Match the protocol. XP95 and Discovery are addressable protocols and must be used with a compatible panel. Series 65 detectors are conventional and connect to zoned panels. Do not mix protocols on one loop.
• Check the variant. Models are available with flashing LEDs, in black or white cases, in marine-approved form and as intrinsically safe (I.S.) detectors for hazardous areas.
• Order the base. Detector heads are normally sold without a base. Choose a compatible XPERT or Series 65 base from our detector bases.
• Standards. Optical smoke detectors are tested to EN 54-7, and siting should follow the system design to BS 5839-1.

Part numbers are shown in every product title, so like-for-like replacement of existing detectors is straightforward. If you are unsure which Apollo detector suits a particular panel, check the panel manufacturer's compatibility information or ask a competent fire alarm designer before ordering.
