The Apollo XPA-OP-12034-APO is the XPander wireless optical smoke detector head. XPander is Apollo's wireless (radio) extension to its addressable range: a loop-powered radio interface communicates with the control panel using the XP95, Discovery or CoreProtocol addressable protocol, and with the XPander devices by radio. This part is the detector only; it fits the XPander mounting base, which is supplied with the combined detector and base (XPA-CB-12034-APO).
XPander optical detectors are recommended as general-purpose smoke detectors for early warning of fire in most installations, and are ideal where slow-burning or smouldering fires are likely.
Key features
- Light scatter (photo-electric) detection, responding to a wide spectrum of fires
- Rigorously calibrated for reliable detection with enhanced immunity to false alarms
- Algorithms for transient alarm rejection
- Automatic drift compensation with DirtAlert warning
- Integral alarm indicator with 360° visibility
- EN 54-25 wireless fire detection communication (via the XPander base)
