Cat6A Network Cable

Cat6A (Category 6 augmented) network cable is built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over a full 100 m channel and is rated to 500 MHz. This collection covers solid-conductor Cat6A cable on reels for fixed installation in offices, data rooms, CCTV and access control systems and other structured cabling.

Cat6A or Cat6? Cat6 supports Gigabit Ethernet over 100 m and 10 Gigabit over shorter runs. Cat6A has tighter limits on interference between neighbouring cables, so it is a common choice where a network needs room to grow or carries high-power PoE.

• Screening: U/UTP is unshielded; F/UTP, U/FTP, F/FTP and S/FTP add foil or braid to reduce interference in electrically noisy areas, and need correct earthing.
• Jacket: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) is widely specified for indoor buildings, while PVC, polyethylene and OSP-rated jackets are used for external and industrial runs.
• Fire performance: check the CPR class (such as Eca, Dca or Cca) required for the building.
• Length: reels are available in lengths such as 100 m, 305 m and 500 m.

The range includes Belden Cat6A cable. For Cat6A patch leads and Cat6 cable see Cat6 and Cat6A network cable, for lower-speed runs see Cat5e network cable, or browse the full Cable and Networking range and the Belden collection.
