How to choose a Texecom system
- Security grade. Grade 2 is typical for homes and lower-risk businesses; Grade 3 for higher-risk premises. A system is only as high as its lowest-graded component.
- Zones and areas. Size the panel to your detector count plus room to expand.
- Wired, wireless or hybrid. Choose a wired Premier Elite panel, the 64-W for fully wireless, or add Ricochet expanders to a wired panel.
- Connectivity. Add a SmartCom for app control and remote servicing; choose 4G where there is no reliable internet.

What do I need to use Texecom Connect?
A Premier Elite panel (firmware V4 or later) fitted with a SmartCom Ethernet & WiFi or SmartCom 4G communicator. The user then controls the system and receives notifications in the Texecom Connect app.
Can I add wireless devices to a wired Texecom panel?
Yes. The Ricochet 8XP-W and 32XP-W expanders add wireless zones to Premier Elite panels. The 32 zone hybrid kit pairs a Premier Elite 48 with a 32XP-W.
