Can I change the battery in a Firehawk carbon monoxide alarm?
No. Firehawk long-life battery CO alarms such as the CO7B and CO7B-10Y use a sealed battery that lasts the life of the alarm, so the whole alarm is replaced at end of life.
Why is my Firehawk CO alarm beeping?
A regular chirp usually signals a fault or end of life, while a loud continuous alarm means carbon monoxide has been detected. Check the pattern against the alarm's instructions, and if the alarm sounds, get fresh air and call the gas emergency number.
Where should a carbon monoxide alarm be fitted?
In the same room as the fuel-burning appliance, positioned as the instructions describe. In England, rented homes need a CO alarm in any room with a fixed combustion appliance other than a gas cooker.
Do Firehawk alarms interlink?
RF-LINK models interlink by radio, and FHN mains alarms can be linked using the FHN600RF module.
