The System Sensor RTS151KEY is a flush-mounted key-operated test and reset station for System Sensor beam smoke detectors, including the OSI-RE-SS OSID reflective imaging beam detector. It lets the detector be tested and reset remotely from ground level.
Turning the key to test makes the detector reduce its transmitted infrared power below the automatically set alarm level, producing an alarm for as long as the key is held. The reset position clears the latched alarm. Local regulations may still require a test filter to be used in the beam path.
