The FireAngel SB1-R is a battery powered optical smoke alarm with a replaceable 9V battery. Its optical chamber "sees" smoke as it enters the alarm, making it well suited to slow, smouldering fires, and it is suitable for landings, hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, as well as mobile homes and caravans.
It needs no wiring: fit the base plate with the two screws supplied and twist the alarm on. The large central button can be pressed with a broom handle to test or silence the alarm from below. For kitchens, lofts and garages a heat alarm should be used instead.
