The Fireco Deafgard (601-8527) is a portable fire alarm alert for deaf and hard of hearing people. It listens continuously for the building's existing fire alarm and, when it sounds, vibrates a pad placed under the pillow or mattress, flashes powerful LEDs and shows “FIRE” on its screen. It needs no installation, which makes it ideal for hotels, halls of residence and sheltered housing, and helps meet elements of the Equality Act 2010.
