Genuine Fireco replacement battery pack (993-4100) for the Freedor and Freedor SmartSound free-swing fire door closers. Freedor is a battery-powered acoustic device fitted to the top of a fire door: it lets the door swing freely or stay open at any angle, then listens for the fire alarm and releases the door to close. When the battery pack reaches a low level, Freedor fails safe and will not enter free-swing mode until the pack is replaced, so keeping a spare pack on hand avoids doors being left in closer-only mode.
