The Geofire Agrippa acoustic digital pillow alarm (3-80-0045) alerts people who are deaf or hard of hearing when a fire alarm sounds, helping duty holders meet the Equality Act 2010. It is a battery powered, wire-free bedside unit with a pad that goes under the pillow, so no installation is needed.
Using "listen and learn" digital technology, it learns the unique sound of the building's fire alarm. When that alarm sounds, the pillow pad vibrates, high-intensity LEDs flash and the LCD screen displays "FIRE". It is compact and portable, making it ideal for hotels, hospitals and similar premises where it can be moved from room to room as needed. It is part of the Agrippa range, alongside the acoustically triggered Agrippa fire door holder and closer.
