The Hochiki SOC-E3NM is a marine-approved conventional photoelectric (optical) smoke detector, compatible with the majority of existing conventional systems. It uses Hochiki's High Performance photoelectric chamber, removing the need for ionisation detectors in most applications.
ASWV drift compensation keeps the detector at its best sensitivity to reduce false alarms. If the contamination limit is exceeded, the red LED flashes every three seconds as a warning. The chamber is easy to remove or replace for cleaning, and its baffle design lets smoke in while keeping out ambient light. Hochiki's marine range is based on its ESP and CDX ranges and is approved for marine use by DNV under the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED), for ships, oil platforms, offshore installations and wind farms.
