The Kidde Firex KF30R is a 230V mains-powered heat alarm with a rechargeable, sealed-in lithium back-up battery. It uses a thermistor sensor and is intended for kitchens, garages and other areas where smoke alarms would suffer nuisance alarms. It can be hard-wire interlinked with up to 23 other Kidde Firex mains alarms (optical, ionisation or heat), so that when one unit detects danger every connected alarm sounds.
