The Xtralis VER-A40-40-STX VESDA-E VEA 40-Relay Local StaX signals the location of an alarm from a VESDA-E VEA addressable aspirating smoke detector through 40 relays, one per sampling tube, as secondary reporting information. It also provides space to mount fire panel loop input modules inside its enclosure, and is powered and controlled directly from the detector.
Key features
- 40 relays: relays 1 to 40 correspond to tubes 1 to 40 on the detector, giving full addressability
- When the VEA detects an alarm it scans to find which tubes carry smoke, and the StaX turns on the relay for each of those tubes
- Relay latching follows the detector's alarm latching configuration
- A VEA detector can power and control up to three Relay StaX, depending on configuration
- Room inside the enclosure for fire panel loop input modules
- Same dimensions as the VEA detector; mounts above or below it, with a spacer supplied to align the mounting brackets
- Fully supported by Xtralis VSC software for commissioning and maintenance
- Note: the detector's Fire 1 relay must still be wired to the fire alarm control panel for primary alarm reporting
