The Nittan EV-DP (part no. F14-82105) is an analogue addressable dual optical smoke detector for Nittan Evolution systems. It uses both infra-red and blue LEDs to measure particles in the chamber more accurately.
From the ratio of the two wavelengths, the EV-DP works out particle size. That lets it tell smoke apart from non-combustion products such as steam and dust. Nittan's patented dual optical technology suits areas prone to false alarms from steam and dust, such as hotels, hospitals and other multiple-occupancy buildings.
