The Nittan EVC-P (part no. F02-82200) is a conventional optical smoke detector from the Evolution Conventional range. It has an internal 375-ohm alarm resistor and works with a range of conventional fire alarm systems. It can also connect to Nittan analogue addressable systems through an EV-ZMU2 zone monitor module.
The detector uses an infra-red LED and photodiode with light-scatter sensing. That makes it most sensitive to the larger smoke particles produced by smouldering fires, and it suits hotels, offices, hospitals and other open, clean spaces.
