Choosing a Ceasefire extinguisher

Use the fire risk assessment to pick the agent: water or foam for Class A materials, foam where flammable liquids are present, CO2 or clean agent around electrical equipment, wet chemical for cooking oil fires and Class D powder for combustible metals. Automatic units suit unattended spaces such as plant rooms and electrical panels. Always check the fire rating on each product page.

Ceasefire FAQs

How does a Ceasefire automatic fire extinguisher work?

M Series and Mini units use a heat-sensitive glass bulb that bursts at a set temperature, releasing the extinguishing agent without manual operation. The bulb rating is shown in the product title or specification.

What is a clean agent fire extinguisher?

Ceasefire's clean agent extinguishers use fluoroketone (FK-5-1-12), which leaves no powder residue, so they are often chosen for electronics and server rooms.

Which Ceasefire extinguisher is used on metal fires?

The SPM-PYRO range uses a Class D powder (Alkali M28) designed for combustible metal fires.
