The Aico Ei144e is a mains powered heat alarm from the Aico 140e Series with a replaceable 9V alkaline back-up battery. Its thermistor triggers at 58°C, so it reacts to heat rather than smoke, making it suitable for kitchens and garages where it is less likely to false alarm from fumes such as burnt toast.
It can be interconnected with other Aico alarms and accessories by hard wire, or wirelessly by RadioLINK when fitted to an Ei168RC RadioLINK base. The back-up battery will need changing over the alarm's 10-year life.
