The STI-9712 Steel Web Stopper® is a surface mount protective wire cage for smoke detectors, designed for areas where abuse of smoke detectors is severe. It helps protect the detector against vandalism and accidental damage. This model is designed for photoelectric (optical) smoke detectors.
The patented web-like octagon shape of heavy-duty steel wire with a corrosion-resistant plastic (PE) coating makes the cage extremely difficult to break. Installation is fast and easy, and the cage can be simply removed for servicing of the detector.
