PoE NVRs

PoE NVRs are network video recorders with built-in Power over Ethernet ports. Each port supplies power and carries video for one IP camera over a single network cable, so smaller systems need no separate PoE switch or local power supply at the camera. This range includes PoE NVRs from Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha Vision and other manufacturers, in a range of channel counts.

What to check before choosing a PoE NVR

• Channels and PoE ports: the number of PoE ports can be lower than the channel count, so check how many cameras the recorder can power directly.
• PoE budget: the total power available across all ports limits how many high-draw cameras, such as PTZ models, can be connected.
• Bandwidth and resolution: compare the recorder's incoming bandwidth and maximum camera resolution with your cameras.
• Storage: check the number of drive bays and whether a hard drive is included. A surveillance-rated drive is recommended for continuous recording.

If you need more powered ports than a recorder offers, add a PoE switch. You can also browse all NVR and DVR recorders, or pair a recorder with our CCTV cameras. Not sure which unit suits your site? Contact our team with your camera count and resolution and we will help you narrow it down.
