The AirSense ModuLaser Aspirating Smoke Detector Module (9-30783) is the detector module of the ModuLaser modular aspirating smoke detection (ASD) system. Each module is self-contained: it draws air from the protected area through its own sampling pipe, analyses it with laser-based detection and uses ClassiFire to decide whether a pre-alarm or alarm should be raised.
Alarms and faults switch the module's own programmable relays and are reported to the ModuLaser display module (Minimum, Standard or Command) it is connected to. Because each module covers one pipe and zone, smoke can be located quickly and maintenance such as filter replacement can be carried out one module at a time.
