The Apollo 29650-070 is an additional detector head for the Apollo Conventional Auto-Aligning Reflective Beam Detector (29650-069). It lets a second beam cover another area from the same ground-level controller, detecting smoke in large open spaces such as warehouses, theatres, churches and sports centres. The head sends an infra-red beam to a prism on the opposite wall and raises an alarm when smoke obscures the returned light.
Key features
- Two detector heads can run from one ground-level system controller
- Laser-assisted alignment for quick installation, then continuous automatic alignment
- Automatic compensation for building movement and lens contamination
- Operating range 8 to 50m, extendable to 100m with the 29600-526 Extension Kit
- Response threshold adjustable from 10% to 60% (35% default)
