The STAR1M-SC by CDVI is a shadow card credential for automatically duplicating cards registered with the STAR1M standalone reader. This product has been discontinued. Scroll down to ‘Related Products’ for our recommended alternatives. The STAR1M is a standalone controller with a built-in shadow card function. A shadow card is a copy of an issued card credential. If a user’s card is lost or stolen, or they leave the business without returning it, the shadow card can be used to invalidate the credential by removing it from the system.
