The Eaton MDR240 is a mains powered heavy duty electromagnetic door retainer for use with Eaton conventional fire systems. It holds self-closing fire doors open under normal conditions and releases them automatically when the fire alarm activates and the supply to the magnet is interrupted.
Its robust die cast aluminium construction with a plastic front cover plate suits nursing homes, hospitals, schools and industrial premises. It is supplied with a door-mounted striker plate and fixes directly to a suitable wall, or to the floor with the optional ZMDRFBB floor bracket.
