The Edwards SIGI-OSDI is an intelligent multi-criteria optical smoke detector with an integrated isolator, from the Signature Series for Edwards EST4 (EN54) analogue addressable fire alarm systems. The built-in isolator helps keep the rest of the Signature data loop working in the event of a wiring short. It is listed in Edwards' EN54 version EST4 submittal guide (data sheet E85001-0712).
Key features
- Multi-criteria optical smoke sensor
- Integrated line fault isolator
- On-board sensors and algorithms compare readings over time with known fire signatures, helping to reject nuisance alarms
- Automatic dirty detector warning and sensitivity measurement reporting
- Signature Series intelligent device with on-board microprocessor (distributed intelligence)
- Self-diagnostics and history log stored in non-volatile memory
- Automatic device mapping by the Signature loop controller
- Fast, stable digital communication - shielded or twisted wiring is not required
