The Fireray 5000 (5000-113) is a motorised, auto-aligning reflective infrared beam smoke detector system from FFE. The detector head combines the infrared transmitter and receiver in one unit and projects a beam to a reflective prism; smoke in the beam path reduces the returned signal and, below a pre-set level, triggers an alarm.
This NF version covers a detector to reflector range of 8m to 100m. Each low-level System Controller supports up to two detectors and provides a pair of fire and fault relays per detector for connection to a conventional fire alarm zone, making it well suited to large, open spaces where point detection would be difficult or costly to install.
