The Firechief Kitchen Stove Guard Slim Sensor (SGS1010) is the intelligent heat sensor used with the Firechief Kitchen Stove Guard (FSW1), a cooker safety shut-off system made by Innohome. It is supplied on its own as a spare or replacement sensor.
The sensor is fitted above the cooker, for example on the cooker hood, and monitors the cooktop temperature. If it detects pre-fire conditions it signals the Stove Guard control unit, which cuts the power to the hob before smoke or flames appear. The system is used in settings such as student accommodation, social housing, supported living and homes where memory loss can increase the risk of accidental fires.
