The Hochiki DRD-EM is a marine-approved conventional flame detector in an ivory case, designed for internal use to detect large flames. It uses single IR technology, has a 90° cone detection zone with a range of up to and including 25 m, and fits the Hochiki CDX marine-approved mounting base (YBN-R/6M). It is intended for conventional fire detection on ships, offshore platforms and similar marine installations.
