The Hochiki SOC-E-IS(WHT) is an intrinsically safe conventional photoelectric (optical) smoke detector in a white case, for use in hazardous areas such as refineries, chemical plants and fuel stations. It is compatible with the majority of existing conventional systems.
It uses Hochiki's High Performance photoelectric chamber and ASWV drift compensation. It must be connected through a Zener barrier or galvanic isolator, such as the Hochiki Z787, to limit the energy entering the hazardous area.
