The Hochiki outer cover removal tool (Hochiki part Removal Tool-3) lets you remove the outer case of a Hochiki ESP photoelectric sensor easily, even when the locking tabs have been used. This gives access to the smoke chamber for maintenance, cleaning or replacement.
In Hochiki's service guide, the tool is placed over the base of the sensor with three of its cut-outs over the metal terminals. Pressing the handle releases all four clips so the two halves can be separated to reach the chamber cover.
