The Honeywell FS20X-211-23-6 is an FS20X multi-spectrum UV/dual IR flame detector in a copper-free, powder-coated aluminium enclosure, designed for hazardous area fire detection in refineries, offshore platforms, turbine enclosures, fuel storage and similar industrial sites.
It combines Honeywell's WideBand IR sensors with a solar-blind UV sensor and dual microprocessors for fast response and strong false-alarm rejection, and outputs to fire and safety systems through relays, a 0-20 mA signal or RS-485 Modbus.
Key features
- Multi-spectrum UV / dual IR / visible sensing with a solar-blind UV sensor
- Patented WideBand IR technology keeps detecting if the UV signal is degraded by smoke or lens contamination
- Detection range greater than 60 m to a 0.1 m² heptane fire (very high sensitivity)
- Four switch-selectable sensitivities
- Alarm, fault and fire verification relays
- Built-in RS-485 Modbus and 0-20 mA stepped output
- FirePic pre-fire data storage and event log with real-time clock
- Automatic optical path and electronic self-test
- Ex d ATEX/IECEx and FM hazardous area approvals; certified to EN 54-10
