Kidde 6830-3 Portable Firefighters' Telephone Handset, Black

The 6830-3 is an Edwards portable firefighters' telephone handset in black, for Edwards fire alarm telephone systems. Portable handsets plug into one-gang telephone receptacles (such as the 6833-4 four-state receptacle with stainless-steel faceplate) installed in corridors, lobbies, stairways, plant rooms and other strategic locations.

When the handset is plugged into a suitable wall jack, it activates audible and visible signals at the control panel. The operator answers by lifting the panel handset, and other firefighters' telephones can be selected at the panel to join the conversation.
