The NFXI-SMT2 is an addressable optical smoke and heat multi-sensor detector from the Notifier Opal (NFX) range, with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It uses a microprocessor to analyse the optical and thermal signals together, which improves detection and resistance to false alarms.
It works on Notifier addressable panels using the Opal protocol and is backward compatible with the CLIP protocol. It fits the B501AP base (base not included).
Key features
- Combined optical and thermal detection with algorithms
- Drift compensation and automatic adjustment to ambient conditions
- Can run in dual (optical/thermal) or thermal-only mode at set times of day
- Suitable for slow or fast-developing fires
- Built-in short-circuit isolator, with status monitored through the protocol
- Rotary address switches (addresses 01 to 159)
- Tri-colour LED: red, green and amber (with Opal protocol)
- Two alarm LEDs and output for a remote indicator
- Manual and automatic test functions
- Fully mechanically and electrically compatible with existing systems and the B501 base
- Compatible with Opal (159+159) and CLIP (99+99) protocols
