About – Solo is a phone-based, cloud-hosted access control system; which is created and managed from the Paxton Solo app. With Solo, your phone is the system and the key. The Solo - DoorTag is an NFC device that replaces a traditional access control reader. When a compatible smartphone, installed with the Paxton Solo app, is presented to the DoorTag, authorised personnel can gain access through the Solo controlled door. The Solo - DoorTag is a passive device, requiring no power or wiring. It is added to the system via the Paxton Solo app. Installation – the Solo - DoorTag can be mounted on practically any surface using the included self-adhesive pads or mounting screws. To support the communication between the phone and the controller, the DoorTag should be installed within a 6m radius of the Solo - Controller. Operation – Present a compatible smartphone installed with the Paxton Solo app to the DoorTag to gain access. The DoorTag does not include any LED indicators, communication and access granted/denied information will be presented on the phone.
