The Advanced CNLED/M3/AL is a Cine-LED escape sign luminaire from the LuxIntelligent range: a wall-mounted, non-addressable, maintained single-sided sign with a European Signs Directive (EC) format running man and arrow left legend.
The Cine-LED is built from black epoxy-coated galvanised steel and is designed to reduce unwanted light emission, which suits theatres, cinemas, school halls and photography rooms. The black opaque legend is hidden unless lit, and an opal downlight panel illuminates directly below the luminaire. In an emergency the escape sign is lit by LEDs for 3 hours from an integral NiCd battery.
Advanced notes that while the luminaire fully complies with EN 60598-2-22, the legend itself is not fully compliant with BS 5499 Pt 4 or ISO 7010. Where a green-on-black sign is judged acceptable because of low light levels, this should be documented and regularly reviewed in the fire risk assessment.
