The Edwards 4-ANNCPU-E is the annunciator central processor unit for the Edwards EST4 life safety control platform, EN54 version. It is used in fire alarm control unit and remote annunciator enclosures, and is the control element for the LCD and control-display modules connected to it.
It processes all control information from the switches on the displays and the data received from the network for display. Two SFP slots take any of the 4-NET series network controllers, so the annunciator can connect over twisted pair, CAT5 or fibre. For systems with audio, a 4-ANNAUDTEL module mounts on the 4-ANNCPU-E to handle a firefighter telephone and paging microphone.
