The Honeywell ESSER 583503.RE DCSF12 is a digital firefighter paging microphone for the VARIODYN D1 voice alarm system, with redundant connection. It is used to select loudspeaker circuits and to make live speech announcements or trigger gong and alarm sounds.
It connects over the DAL (Digital Audio Link) bus to a Comprio or DOM using standard CAT5 cable. For installation codes that require redundancy in critical signal routes, it supports two separate CAT5 connections to two Comprio (not the standalone version) or DOM units, so a single cable fault cannot stop live announcements.
Key features
