The Honeywell 585001 UIM (Universal Interface Module) is the interface module of the VARIODYN ONE PA/VA system. It connects two analogue audio inputs, two analogue audio outputs and 48 control contacts, and links to the INC network controller over the DAL (Digital Audio Link) bus. It digitises audio from sources such as a music player or a fire detection system, and its contacts allow external control of the system and report system status.
