The STI-6255 Mini Theft Stopper® is a compact, battery-powered alarm that helps prevent the theft and misuse of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment such as fire hoses and sprinkler shut-off valves. For cabinet-housed equipment, the unit mounts next to or inside the cabinet with its reed switch in the door jamb and the matching magnet on the door, so opening the door sounds the alarm. For free-standing extinguishers, the steel activation clip is held by the extinguisher's pull pin and seal, and the alarm sounds when the seal is broken or the equipment is lifted. It does not interfere with firefighting or use of the protected item.
