The Testifire 25-001 is an infrared remote control for the Testifire 1000 and Testifire 2000 detector testers. Normally a Testifire starts its test when the detector breaks an infrared beam inside the test cup, but some detectors - including those with virtual chamber technology - do not trigger this automatically. The remote lets the engineer start the test from the ground.
