16-Channel NVRs

A 16-channel NVR records up to sixteen IP cameras, which suits larger shops, offices, schools, warehouses and multi-site installations. These recorders typically offer more drive bays and higher total bandwidth than compact units, so they can handle more cameras at higher resolutions.

Choosing a 16-channel NVR

• PoE ports: some models provide sixteen built-in PoE ports, while others offer fewer or none. Where more powered ports are needed, add a PoE switch.
• Drive bays: two or more bays are common, and some models support four or more drives for longer retention.
• Bandwidth: check that the recorder's incoming bandwidth covers the combined bitrate of all sixteen cameras.
• Storage type: use surveillance-rated drives, which are designed for continuous recording, and size capacity to the number of cameras and the days of footage you need to keep.

The range includes recorders from Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha Vision and Ajax Systems, as well as other manufacturers. If your system is smaller or larger, see our 8-channel NVRs or 32-channel NVRs, or browse all NVR and DVR recorders. Contact our team for help matching a recorder to your project.
