32-Channel NVRs

A 32-channel NVR records up to thirty-two IP cameras on one recorder. These units are used on larger sites such as factories, schools, retail premises and commercial buildings, where one central recorder simplifies management and playback.

Choosing a 32-channel NVR

• Bandwidth and decoding: with this many cameras, check that the recorder's incoming bandwidth and decoding capacity cover the combined bitrate and resolution of your cameras.
• Drive bays and RAID: four or more bays are common, and some models support RAID for added resilience. Check the maximum capacity per drive that the recorder accepts.
• PoE: some models include sixteen PoE ports, with the remaining cameras powered through a PoE switch. Others have no built-in PoE.
• Storage sizing: use surveillance-rated drives and calculate capacity from camera count, bitrate and retention period.

The range includes recorders from Hikvision, Dahua, Hanwha Vision and Ajax Systems, as well as other manufacturers. For smaller systems see our 16-channel NVRs, or browse all NVR and DVR recorders.
