The Advanced MXP-509F is the fault-tolerant network card for MxPro 5 series fire alarm control panels and remote terminals, supplied fitted to an MxPro 5 control panel. It allows panels, remote terminals and network peripherals to be connected together using standard fire-resistant two-core cable, from a two-panel network up to a large 200-panel wide area networked system.
The fault-tolerant network is wired as a loop and each card is fully monitored for short and open circuit faults between nodes, so the network can withstand a single fault between nodes without loss of communication to any panel.
Key features
- Supplied fitted to an MxPro 5 control panel
- Fault-tolerant network: withstands a single fault between nodes without losing communication to any panel
- In-built diagnostics with short and open circuit monitoring between nodes
- Networks of up to 200 panels, with up to 1.5km between panels
- True peer-to-peer operation: information from any input or output device can be displayed on any MxPro 5 panel or remote terminal
- Network analyser on every panel, with the option to stop fires or faults being transmitted during commissioning
- Sector-based programming of Mute, Silence, Resound and Reset keys, investigation delays, group disablement and test instructions using Windows-based PC-NeT Mx software
- Powered directly from the panel motherboard
