The Edwards SIGA-HRDI is an intelligent heat detector from the Signature Series that combines a rate-of-rise sensor and a fixed-temperature sensor to detect heat from fire. It is designed for Edwards EST4 (EN54) analogue addressable fire alarm systems and is listed in Edwards' EN54 version EST4 submittal guide (data sheet E85001-0713).
Key features
- Rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature heat sensing in one detector
- On-board sensors and algorithms compare readings over time with known fire signatures, helping to reject nuisance alarms
- Automatic dirty detector warning and sensitivity measurement reporting
- Signature Series intelligent device with on-board microprocessor (distributed intelligence)
- Self-diagnostics and history log stored in non-volatile memory
- Automatic device mapping by the Signature loop controller
- Fast, stable digital communication - shielded or twisted wiring is not required
Technical specifications
- Detection: rate-of-rise and fixed-temperature heat
- Mounting: Signature Series detector bases, e.g. SIGA-SB/SB4 standard, SIGA-IB/IB4 isolator or SIGA-RB/RB4 relay base
- Data sheet reference: E85001-0713
- Signature loop controller: 3-SSDC2-E (single) or 3-SDDC2-E (dual) on the EST4 panel
