Edwards SIGA-IM2I Isolator Module

The Edwards SIGA-IM2I is a Signature Series fault isolator module for the Edwards EST4 life safety control platform (EN54) and other Edwards Signature analogue addressable systems. It lets part of the Signature data loop keep working if a short circuit occurs.

The module can be wired into a Class A data loop at any point. If a fault occurs, it cuts power to all devices beyond it on the loop, then keeps checking the faulted side. When the fault is cleared it automatically restores the whole loop to normal.

Key features

• Isolates short circuits on the Signature data loop
• Can be wired into a Class A loop at any point
• Continuously checks the faulted side of the loop while isolated
• Automatic restoration once the fault is cleared
• Up to 96 isolator modules on one circuit
• Signature Series intelligent device with on-board microprocessor (distributed intelligence)
• Self-diagnostics and history log stored in non-volatile memory
• Automatic device mapping by the Signature loop controller
• Fast, stable digital communication - shielded or twisted wiring is not required
